This qualification provides the skills and knowledge for an individual to be competent in retail operations and/or supervision with the need to apply discretion and judgment. Work would be undertaken in various retail settings, such as specialty stores, supermarkets, department store and retail fast food outlets.

SIR30207 - CERTIFICATE III IN RETAIL

A total of 10 units are required for this qualification. This includes 3 core units and 7 elective units

Entry Requirement: Those wishing to gain entry for this qualification must be competent at Certificate II or have sufficient relevant retail employment experience to equate to requirements under Cert II Retail.

It applies to those who are managing a small retail outlet, a section or department within a larger retail store, a small wholesale outlet, or a section or department with a larger wholesale business.

Entry Requirement: Those wishing to gain entry into the Certificate IV in Retail Management will need to be recognised competent in selected units from Certificate II and III Retail or have sufficient retail employment experience to equate to the select units.
